This Authentic Amitabha Buddha Thangka presents a rich triad composition, with the red-bodied Amitabha seated in central meditation, flanked by two standing attendant bodhisattvas — Vajrapani in deep blue holding a flowering branch, and Chenrezig in pure white in a gesture of blessing, each haloed and standing on their own lotus pedestals. This three-figure arrangement reflects the balanced union of compassion, wisdom, and protective strength central to this sacred grouping.

The throne itself is adorned with a pair of vividly detailed peacocks, their tails fully fanned in a symmetrical display on either side of the central drape — a striking decorative element symbolizing purity and the transformation of poison into beauty, rarely seen with such prominence in other Amitabha compositions. Above, soft clouds gather in the sky beneath a visible sun and moon, while a warm double halo of pale green and peach tones surrounds the central Buddha.

The surrounding landscape is unusually populated with everyday life: yaks graze peacefully on the hillside to the left, while spotted deer forage quietly in the grass to the right, grounding this celestial gathering within a lived, pastoral world. Rolling hills, distant water, and scattered trees complete this expansive natural setting.

This combination of the Amitabha triad, ornate peacock throne detailing, and pastoral landscape elements offers a richly layered devotional composition, meaningful for those drawn to the interconnected practice of compassion, wisdom, and protection within the path toward Sukhavati.
